Can I use a tourist visa for medical treatment?
No. A tourist visa does not permit medical treatment in China; violations may lead to fines, deportation or future visa refusal. We arrange S2 (≤6 months) or S1 (>6 months) medical visas with official admission letters, treatment plans and cost estimates.
How do S1/S2 medical visas work? What documents are needed?
1) Assessment & hospital booking (3–5 working days) → 2) Official admission letter & treatment plan (CN/EN) → 3) Passport, photos, application form, document checklist → 4) Submit & wait 5–10 working days → 5) Post-visa itinerary planning. Fully bilingual support.
What about health screening and residence permit after arrival?
1) Port screening at Hunan ITHC for red/yellow health books → 2) Apply for residence permit with in-treatment proof (min. 90 days, renewable) → 3) We prepare all certificates, payment records and visa document checklists.
Can I choose a specific hospital?
Yes. We coordinate with Xiangya and other Tier-3 hospitals and triage by specialty: cardio/cerebrovascular, neurosurgery, oncology, orthopedics, assisted reproduction, ophthalmology, dentistry. A bilingual medical record is created after your first visit.
Can tourism be arranged between treatments?
Yes — and compliantly. We offer inter-treatment options: Changsha cultural experiences, TCM therapy, Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang tours. All tourism is delivered by licensed agencies, fully separated from medical services.
Can family members accompany me?
Yes. The main patient uses an S1/S2 medical visa; spouses and immediate family may apply for Q-type visit or accompanying visas. We prepare relationship certificates and hospital escort letters.
Can international insurance be used?
Yes. We verify eligibility (US/Canada/selected EU policies), issue hospital pre-authorization letters, and support claims with medical records, receipts and translated certificates.
How is follow-up arranged?
Two paths: remote follow-up (video consultation + international pharmacy shipping) or in-person review (re-visa, booking, itinerary and family escort) for imaging or staged treatment.
